Our mission

Mission Statement:
Our mission is to assist patients with living the last months of their lives comfortably and with dignity. This means not spending the last months in a hospital suffering through treatments or tests that make them ill or uncomfortable. We present options to allow our patients quality time with their loved ones. We provide support and education to family and loved ones so they are comfortable with end of life care.

Vision Statement:
To raise the standard of expectations for Hospice care by providing best-in-industry care and educate Southwestern Pennsylvania of their choice in end of life services.

Since 2015

MEET OUR GREAT TEAM

Lisa Marie Gordiano

Certified Nursing Assistant

I started my career as a CNA 16 yrs ago in 2002. I have been working in the hospice field for the past 8 yrs. I decided to work in hospice instead of skilled nursing facilities so my patients, families and I can have more of a 1 on 1 relationship. Also to give the time & through care each patient deserves. I enjoy the variety of being able to meet many people throughout the day when visiting multiple facilities and patient homes . When I am not working, I enjoy going to my camp, going boating and spending time with my family, friends and my 3 dogs
.

Maria Marks

Registered Nurse

Maria states she loves doing Hospice Care and has loved all the people she has met through out the years. When she’s not working she enjoys bowling and spending time with her family and friends. Maria is a Registered Nurse Case Manager and has been with Monarch since January 2018. She has been doing Hospice care since 2004. Maria has been in the medical field for almost 25 years. She was 19 years old when she started working as an aide in a personal care home.  When she first started in nursing, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse. After graduating from Community College of Allegheny County in 2006 with an associates degree in Nursing, she continued her career in the hospice field.

Jamie Donnell

Social Worker

I have been in the field of geriatrics as a social worker for the last nineteen years, working in the long-term care setting, as personal care home administrator and home health services marketer. I have always advocated hospice to patients and families facing a terminal illness. Within the past year, I have been privileged to receive the amazing opportunity to work directly for a hospice provider. I find that being a hospice social worker with Monarch to be very challenging and also very rewarding, as I feel it is a honor to be a part of our patients end of life journey.

When not working, I enjoy being out in nature, and spending time with family, friends, and my two dogs and a cat.

Cletus Hill

Chaplain

I have served as a pastor for 31 years and as a chaplain at two Pennsylvania state psychiatric hospitals for 29 years. My experiences in the church and hospital inform me that spirituality is an essential aspect of the end-of-life issues we all will face. I enjoy ministering to people at this time in their lives because I feel that I am on holy ground when we pray together for God's total healing in their lives.

I enjoy watching sports, such as baseball and basketball. My latest project I spend time doing is researching and writing articles for magazines and academic journals. Additionally, I enjoy researching and writing for my sermons for Trinity United Christian Church in Lower Burrell PA.
